  1. Blacks fail at a higher rate than whites, yet many blacks outperform many whites. Is this a consequence of some blacks having superior genes than some whites, or is it a consequence of other factors outweighing the racial factor? If so, how do you know these factors are not responsible for whites succeeding at a higher rate than blacks?
