@AntitheistPOV ...and since we're talking about a fairly vast time-frame: What happens if the circumstances change? What if violence will one day be beneficial, if not crucial to our societies survival? What if a foreign 'violent' population decides to attack this 'non-violent' population? What if the government start oppressing the population?

Why do we lock people up? There are basically two reasons: to discourage criminal behaviour, and to 'remove' people who are unfit for society. This girl may sure be unfit for society at the moment but she's not an adult. Are you the person you were when you were 15? I doubt it. People change. It cost money to lock people up, not only direct costs, but also lost tax revenue. Life imprisonment serves no purpace other than to satisfy some people's primitive call for revenge.

@AntitheistPOV ...assuming your mind is solely products of your genome, not shaped by outer stimulus. If we instead assume the latter, the problem of criminals falling back to crime after being released is rather a cause of prisons failure to rehabilitate them. I agree that genome is to some extent involved, but I've also seen massive evidence that suggest environment plays a much bigger role. Thus, it would take a looong time before we can see any effect of such selective sterilization.

@AntitheistPOV Few people end up in a situation where their supposed 'violence gene' triggers, of which few are actually prosecuted and convicted, of which some have already successfully reproduced. This togeather with immigration continuously 'polluting' your genepool, will lead to a genetic drift so slow that I doubt it will be measurable by your grandchildrens grandchildren. ...which leads to the question: Is it really worth it, and does it really cure the immediate problem?
