  1. I'm sure gun advocates will use this case as an example of where an ARMED officer stopped a shooting. Bear in mind that this was not a random shooting. The kid who got shot was targeted, and the shooter was probably satisfied once he was shot, and thus not very likely to fire additional rounds. And the officer disarmed the boy without firing a single shot.
