While I agree that two people who love each other should be free to spend the rest of their lives together and gain the legal benefits of a married couple, I don't believe it is right to force any religious community to endorse their union or include them in religious rituals associated with wedding. If the couple's own religious community refuse to endorse their union, perhaps they are in the wrong religious community. Perhaps it isn't the community who should change their mind, but the couple (not about their union, but their religion). This is why I believe secular weddings is the best solution. That way both the freedom of religion and the freedom of love is respected.
