robinsssĀ In a discussion about how far an individual's freedom should stretch in relation to another's I think it's necessary to question the current state of affairs rather than argue from it as though it is objectively flawless.

One part of me tells me we should just allow market forces to take its toll on these businesses. If they reject gay customers or employees they'll lose a large market segment or skilled labor to their competitors and will suffer consequences. However, what if the market forces weren't strong enough to hurt these businesses in any significant way? What if homosexuals were denied more essential services like drug stores, auto repairs, gas stations, electricity providers, or public transportation? How much should people have to suffer in order to avoid interference with the free market? Makes the issue more difficult.

darkdragonsoul99 So you define freedom as being free to set up geographical restrictions on where people can walk? Others may define freedom as being free to walk where the hell they want. Freedom is a subjective concept.
