  2. Some suggest the J. F. Kennedy administration might have supported his party's takeover, but this is speculations. What's not a speculation though is US support of Saddam's invasion of Iran with intelligence, weapons and economic aid. It's quite ironic that this is the war during which he commited the warcrimes US later had him hanged for. This makes it a bit more understandable when Saddam called the war tribunal a farce.
