  1. What can I say. Learn evolution before you reject it. Your argument is the equivalent of arguing that continental drift can not occur because if it did, inter-continental cables would obviously snap. It's a slow process. Guns have been around for about 700 years. That's 28 generations. That's barely a moment in evolutionary terms.

  2. Guess what, people change their opinions as they gain new knowledge and perspectives. This doesn't necessarily make them hypocrites. Perhaps recent mass shootings and associated media coverage and political debate caught his attention and got him thinking. Perhaps he decided he'd try to make a difference which resulted in his "Cold Dead Hand" sketch. Perhaps he thought, if this sketch can make a difference, what about my earlier work? Sounds plausible to me.
