  5. Problem is, you said "in human history". By conventional definition history starts around 3000 BCE, defined by the earliest written record. Anything before that is considered prehistory.

  8. Since you supposedly didn't mean that "earth has been in more extreme conditions" than today, I'm asking: in relation to what? Your reference frame is not clear from your comment, not even in the context of the comment you replied to. More extreme conditions than in... 10, 50, 100 years from now? What conditions do you suggest earth is subjected to at that time? There are certainly more than one projection.

  10. Not yet, no, but the question is how big of a problem it will be in say 50 years. There's much uncertainty involved, but I think we know enough to at least be careful.
