  2. Switzerland is also the richest (2011) country in the world per capita, and the direct correlation between poverty and crime is well known. No one is suggesting that gun legislation will reduce crime, only reduce the lethality of it. Also, I don't think the high crime rate in america has so much to do with culture as it has to do with poverty and income inequality.

  3. The conspiracy theory is that the reason behind gun legislation is not to reduce gun related violence and armed robberies, but to disarm the working class so that they cannot defend themselves or challange the ruling class. That IS a conspiracy theory.
