  1. Why do you turn my comment into something it's not? I just reacted to the way he use the term "isolationism", because it sounds like he's implying military force is the only way to interact with other nations. But since you brought it up: US accounts for 45.5% of worlds total military spending, have 174,000 troops deployed in 150 nations. Yes, I find it ridiculous the way he portays any proposal to reduce these numbers as the worst thing that can happen.

As if deploying troops overseas is the only way to deal with other countries. What about exchanging culture, products, ideas, people, and an overall increased participation in the global community?
