"Ironically, though, a 2010 study by American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress found 57% of rape victims enjoyed the experience." Did you perhaps get this from an article on avoiceformen[dot]com? Lovely website.

I think this is where he got it from: avoiceformen[dot]com/feminism/study-reveals-female-rape-victims-enjoyed-the-experience/ Pay close attention to the first two and last two paragraphs.

Chivers also says "Arousal is not consent." and “I hate the term ‘rape fantasies,’ they’re really fantasies of submission.”. That some women get aroused by thought or fantisize about rape does not mean they want it to come true. In the realm of the mind, they are able to exclude all the undesired aspects of rape while emphasising on the desired, and they don't have to face the associated social, physical, and psychological consequences.

I hope you laughed as loud as me when you read the last two paragraphs of the article.

I asked if he got his information from that specific article, because in the two last paragraphs of that article the author reveals that he made up the entire article to make a point about how feminists often use false references and quotes to academic articles to make their assertions seem more credible.

But although the reference was indeed false, yes, some women are idea by the thought of rape. You are right about it being a coping mechanism, a popular theory is the evolutionary explaination, that ancient women who were aroused during rape were less likely to be injured and thus more likely to pass on this trait to an offspring. This is pretty depressing because it implies that rape have been so commonplace throughout the human evolution, that the female sexuality have adapted to it.
