Viggo Hansen of Vänsterpartiet, at the time filling in as county of Södermanland, proposed a motion to introduce unisex toilets in the county's own facilities which involved encouraging men to sit down while peeing in said toilets and it was never about making it illegal for men to stand up while peeing. Yet the motion was ridiculed in the local media and criticized by his own party before being caught up and blown out of proportion by international media.
