  1. What angers me the most is when news channels treat social issues (unemployment, poverty, crime, drug use, street violence, etc.) as if these are isolated phenomena. Nevermind geopolitics, nevermind fiscal policy, nevermind macroeconomics, nevermind psychology, nevermind sociology, nevermind philosophy. Social problems are just spontaneous eruptions of bad, lazy, immoral, irresponsible, hopeless people who are better treated with a belt or a boot. A helping hand only confuses the incentives, attracting more people to the join them in their misery. After the left abandoned the poor for identity politics, few seems to convincingly challenge this perverse narrative.
