  2. I read an article explaining the Project Agora. As far as I can understand, it's basically executable/programmable tokens of money and assets, which may involve so called smart contracts. Instead of stationary software on servers settling transactions by communication at distance, the tokens contain executable code which handles the transfer. This is supposed to speed up transactions and enable more complex contracts. The tokens are backed by a central bank.
