  1. To be fair, nitrogen fertilizer pollution is a well recognized problem, for example causing algae blooming to the point it kills fish by oxygen deprivation. However, I share the suspicion against these kind of measures, given that billionaire technologists are currently buying up huge amounts of farmland to hedge their wealth against the coming economic depression. There seems to be an ongoing war against farmers under the pretense of saving the environment.
