  1. Evolution by natural selection is a slow and cruel process in which randomly less adapted individuals must be eliminated for the good of future generations. Eugenics has the potential to speed up the process by applying strategic selection, but can be regarded as even more cruel. Focusing on the mutation process instead of the selection process both speeds up the adaption process and is less cruel.
