I think John is doing a really important service to us all by being transparent about how his content is adjusted to suit these authoritarian guidelines. Hopefully enough viewers care that it puts pressure on the platform to reconsider what they're doing.

I can tell this is really wearing on John's heart. Our systems are in severe need of fixing but tries to hide its flaws. John's voice is the beacon of light we all need right now. Stay strong!

The best part of the interview is Musk showing what true leadership is about. He took on Twitter, not because it would be profitable or enjoyable, but because it needed to be done. He enters the interview in casual clothes and happy to talk about anything. He has no fear because he has clear conscience and nothing to hide.

Agreed. An investigation is needed into what Swindon did differently in order to avoid excess cases of myocarditis despite Covid-19.

Small correction: the pressure is not dependent on syringe diameter. Pressure in: pressure out. But the chamber-to-syringe area ratio amplifies the force at the expense of flow. See Bernoulli's theorem.

Based on how they acted during Covid, I wouldn't trust them with my dog.

As far as I know, Klaus Schwab had little direct involvement in this atrocity. But he played a significant role in setting up the system that generated this mess. If anything good comes of this tragedy it is to demonstrate the corruption and dysfunction of "stakeholder capitalism", the system he pushes to replace democracy.

Happy to hear "excess deaths" being recommended as a measure of covid's impact. That was my first impulse in 2020 to check whether it was real or mass hysteria. I quickly discovered that deaths (in Sweden) were way over projections from recent years and correlated well with number of confirmed covid cases. After that, all discussions about potential over-attribution of covid as cause of death seemed secondary.

Given that the protein comes out of solution when cooled to room temperature makes me fear what exposure to cold would do. Take care people, stay warm!
7
Surely there is a correlation between CO2 and temperature. The question is which is driving the other. I think the argument is that the record suggests temperature rise tends to precede rise in CO2, indicating temperature drives CO2 and not so much the reverse.
7
Oftentimes he is the only voice.

I trusted my gut instinct but ultimately yielded in order to be allowed to travel. Luckily I was not injured, at least yet.

The Swedish minister of healthcare was asked about this. He forwarded the question to the "social minister". The response was that the questions were based on false premises which have been "circulating online". The minister claimed that WHO has not proposed any changes themselves, but changes are being discussed by member nations. He claimed that since negotiations are still ongoing, there is nothing concrete to criticize. He also claimed that WHO can never force Sweden to do anything, because it is Sweden who is responsible for ratification.

@6789uiop True, viscous fluids do not obey Bernoulli's theorem due to energy losses.

I strongly suspect processed oils and additives has a significant effect on gut health. I feel so much better eating unprocessed foods.
4
The fact that governments signed agreements to take full legal responsibility in case of any adverse effects does not help. It seems they really hate to admit how thoroughly bamboozled they were by pharmaceutical companies.
3
Facebook has gone from selling ads to companies to selling social engineering to governments. This is seriously troubling.
3
I love John's sarcastic humor.
3
Data presented by John suggests (as far as I understand) that vaccination considerably reduces risk of severe illness from infection and slightly reduces risk of transmission. However, considering the risk of severe illness is much lower for certain demographics and that vaccination does not add immunity after natural infection, vaccination should not be applied indiscriminately.
3
It is important. It transforms. It reinforces. It is the next thing. It is a continuation of success. It leads to better health. ... They can not be more vague.
2
Especially considering he's an entrepreneur and not an expert on the issues he offers his advice.
2
Ultra-processed seed oils are bad indeed, but just you wait until meat has been fully replaced by ultra-processed insect matter.
2
I came to a scary realization. Excess deaths are based on extrapolation from pre-pandemic levels. There are limits to how long it is valid to extrapolate from those levels to estimate excess deaths in the now. If debate about excess deaths is suppressed long enough, it will no longer be possible to estimate excess deaths with any reasonable certainty, to the benefit of everyone who seek to dismiss it. At least this is what I fear.
2
UK ONS saves thousands of lives with the stroke of a pen.
2
Deadpan delivery seems appropriate considering the matter.
2
No, we don't know the cause of the observed excess deaths, which is why this is extremely important to study and discuss publicly right now.
2
Thanks for the helpful comment!
2
Sadly, this problem is nowadays quite general for academia. We need a global academic revolution.
2
@Memphis2010GFC Fair point. But may be worth checking out Ian Plimer's book he refers to. He's a professor of geology, which seems more relevant.
2
Is it only me or does John's voice seem a bit higher pitch than usual in this video?
2
Reinvestment of pandemic profits into increased capture of decision making and regulatory institutions.... how incredibly predictable.
2
I watched the Unheard interview of Dawkins. It was thoroughly frustrating to hear him so ignorant and apologetic. Strange of an evolutionary biologist to not have payed closer attention during a pandemic.
1
Great! I was curious about a follow-up on this.
1
What a clear account of what's wrong with WHO.
1
While you had pericarditis after Covid the infection, this study says Covid is very unlikely to have caused it.
1
@LumocolorARTnr1319 I know, I did this in 2020. I looked at curve of weekly deaths compared to last 5 years. It went way up during spring, coinciding with rise in reported covid cases.
1
I've never seen anyone soldier on with such persistence.

What an unfortunate surname. I bet no one cracks jokes around Professor David.

@JohnHughes2002 How do you know this?

@ecopeacechristian-linda7239 Damn it.

Great news! :)

Vitamin D is so important to human health that Africans migrating north turned white. Let that sink in.

Isn't it a stretch to say that depression being unrelated to depression means that raising the serotonin level isn't helping against depression? It seems to me the simplest explanation would be that while low serotonin isn't causing depression, raising it does help prevent it.
1
Pharmaceutical companies shift all responsibility to governments, then pay their salaries to close the loop. Perfect way to avoid responsibility.

Statistics Sweden finally (2 days ago) released monthly deaths for 2022. 3.5% more died in 2022 than average for period 2000-2017. This is the worst of the last five years besides 2020: +0.8% (2018), -3.0% (2019), +7.3 (2020), +0.5 (2021) 19% more died in December 2022 than average December for 2000-2017. This is almost as bad as December 2020: +23%

We need to lock down and mobilize big pharmaceutical companies to develop vaccine against famine.
1
So let me get this straight. They developed deadly and infectious viruses abroad, avoiding law and regulation. A virus leaked and spread. Rather than blowing the alarm, they suppressed information and work out a plan to manufacture a story about natural origin. They then placed the head of the unlawful research lab as the main communicator about the pandemic he caused. They rally pharmaceutical companies to develop vaccines. Upon realizing that the virus isn't as deadly as first thought, they deploy a global fear campaign to ensure demand. They make shady deals with politicians to buy vaccines before proper testing on humans. They suppressed the notion that none of the vaccines turn were effective at preventing infection nor at reducing transmission. They also suppressed that several vaccines have dangerous side effects. They also suppressed knowledge about role of natural immunity. They urge everyone to wear masks which turned out to be useless. They leveraged violation of fundamental rights and freedoms to force people to vaccinate. They force vaccines on children, all while aware of side effects and how harmless the virus is for the young and healthy. Etc. Etc. Etc. You couldn't make this up!
1
@PIANOSEEDS No need. If anything, that was a distasteful pun on my part.
1
Jesus Christ, I don't think anyone can watch this and not be seriously concerned.
1
I just finished listening to Michael Osterholm on JRE. He made many claims that seem to contradict data shown on this channel. 1: there are no deaths from myocarditis related to vaccination. 2: natural immunity "adds" to vaccination-induced immunity. 3: surge in Israel was among non-vaccinated. Would be interesting to have John Campbell comment on the interview.
1
WHO was only partially funded by nations, the rest funded privately, e.g. by Bill Gates' GAVI. Avoiding private interests in the organization would be a good reason not to pay as little as possible to a world health body.
1
So that was depressing. Corruption is vast.

A colleague of mine claimed that I need to take vitamin D in the form of oil capsules, and that cheap chewing pills are "useless". Sitting now at home doing "internet research" I cannot find any support for his claim. The cheap pills I'm having specify "cholecalciferol" which seems to correspond to vitamin D3: the substance produced in the skin upon UV exposure. Any idea if there's anything to what he's saying?

There seems to be a significant risk that our supposed crisis of misinformation is misinformation.

I'm searching for information about Sweden's response to the amendment. All I was able to find was the document "Strategy for Sweden's cooperation with WHO 2021-2025" which offered some hopeful words: "WHO’s funding model remains a weakness. The fixed income provided by membership fees is a small proportion of the budget and the organisation continues to be dependent on a small number of major donors." "For Sweden, the funding of the organisation is a priority issue." "Sweden will improve strategic governance capability in WHO’s governing bodies by requiring regular, transparent, clear and appropriate monitoring and feedback of the organisation’s work at all three levels." "Sweden will endeavour to ensure that governance of WHO is effective and results-based by requiring accountability and transparency (Outcome 9, Outcome 10)."
1
Don't worry, they have made a risk-benefit analysis, and it showed that they run a large risk of making hundreds of billions in case of a leak.
1
Strangely, my stomach gets chaotic from potato crisps, but is absolutely fine from french fries. Must be some additives.
1
I'm open minded, but David say so many mindboggling things that my mind goes into defense. I can sense that John shares this feeling.
1
This is how trust in institutions is restored, not through censor.
1
Vitamin D is so important to human health that it turned africans white.
1
@mugogrog You draw the line where think it is, based on your personal priorities and best available data. In my opinion.
1
The hate of the global elite for Musk is compelling evidence that the war on CO2 is the means to global governance and not the other way around. The same probably goes for the war on viral disease. It's just an excuse to transfer power from nations to an unelected global bureaucracy.
1
To "move at the speed of science" sounds like patiently waiting for the scientific process to clarify crucial facts. Funny that she used this expression to justify the opposite.
1
When a government official says a decision is science based, nowadays, I don't expect much more realism than a movie based on a true story.
1
@timglover7226 I wouldn't read that much into the title. A lot of skills transfer well to climate science: math, statistics, chemistry, scientific principles, the study of a complex system, etc. As long as he has looked carefully at the data, the methods, the arguments, etc. I don't think he should necessary stay strictly within his field. But the way he dismissed the correlation between CO2 and temperature it seems he didn't really look that deep into it.
1
I don't understand how big pharma manage to have their hands around everyone's testicles. What stops all of these people, across the globe, from expressing their independent thoughts?
1
I don't want to be rude, but I think his contribution is distilling and summarising, not providing details. The details are in the papers that most of us are not able to comprehend.
1
@truthjustice5144 Can you back up your assertions?
1
What John fails to describe is, if we eradicate deficiency diseases and leverage our immune system to its fullest, how will pharmaceutical companies maintain and expand their profit?
1
I dropped by John Campbell's page on wikipedia. Almost every paragraph dismisses him. The only thing positive said about him is: "In August 2020, UNICEF's regional office for Europe and Central Asia cited his YouTube channel as an excellent example of how experts might engage with social media to combat misinformation,[16] citing a March 2020 briefing by Social Science in Humanitarian Action.[17]" But only as part of the narrative that he was sane before but has now gone bonkers. I've been quite trusting of the self-correcting nature of Wikipedia until recently. There seems to have been a radical attempt to cease control of information on all electronic media the last few years. It's terrifying.
