  1. I came to a scary realization. Excess deaths are based on extrapolation from pre-pandemic levels. There are limits to how long it is valid to extrapolate from those levels to estimate excess deaths in the now. If debate about excess deaths is suppressed long enough, it will no longer be possible to estimate excess deaths with any reasonable certainty, to the benefit of everyone who seek to dismiss it. At least this is what I fear.
