  1. I agree that there have neeb a failure to provide proper guidelines and boundaries for the young. However, this does not mean that conservatism or Jordan's guidance is what we need. For example, Alaine de Button agrees on this point but tackles life issues from a liberal perspective. He feels that what the young lacks and needs is philosophy in general, which is a rather neglected part of education. Our children have been encouraged to figure life out for themselves without the help of millennia of philosophy, hence the confusion.
