I honestly have trouble seeing what line Tucker supposedly crossed. The objections of Konstantin seems to boil down to that the interview benefited Putin more than the west.

Wow, I didn't know Dawkins was such an apologist for the greatest scandal of the century. He comes off as helplessly naïve to the blatant corruption of scientific and regulatory institutions.

I feel this could have ended more interestingly if Yanis had the self-control to consider what Freddie is saying before getting defensive.
49
Better a soft interview than no interview in my opinion.

@tomholloway7164 I don't think this excuse holds. When facing uncertainty the last thing you'd want to do is increase uncertainty by experimenting with new treatments and strategies. There were proven principles and strategies in place based on dealing with other similar viruses, but these were disregarded and substituted by new radical approaches like population-wide mandated vaccination with modified RNA, lockdowns and masking. This was done in defiance of recommendations by many experts in relevant fields and without reliable data showing that it was preferable to proven strategies. Moreover, research and discussion about alternatives were actively suppressed. Suppression of data and discussion is also the last thing you'd want when facing uncertainty.

Expects Gazans to emigrate in days and news to check facts in hours. Counts bodies carefully for 3 weeks.

Freddie is also really good at playing the devil's advocate, breaking through the guests first line of defense to see how firmly their positions are grounded.

Impressive mental gymnastics.

Excellent work Freddie! You are doing us a service.

Brilliant of Freddie to challenge Dawkings by examining globalism from an evolutionary perspective. A population (of nations) needs a healthy level of diversity to ensure resilience against changing conditions.

Second half of the interview was really interesting. In a sense, Ukraine's inability to resolve its internal tensions and conflicts contributed to the start of the war. One could hope that rejecting the "mono-national" political project and establishing a more inclusive and liberal social contract could contribute to its end.
4
There seems to be a deep contradiction in Gladden's perspective. He proclaims to defend a society, through constitution and governance, which is in harmony with the natural order. But why would "nature" need a constitution or government to enforce its order? Isn't nature, by definition, the order and patterns which emerge spontaneously in the absence of a humanly conceived (or divine) plan?

Can't they both be bullies? He didn't claim not to be a hypocrite.
3
I've been interested in him since he tried to save Greece from IMF. Can't say I agree with all of his ideas, but I admire his creativity and his courage.
3
@jackeagleeye3453 Tucker didn't ask important questions? Ukraine war, the road to peace, NATO, prospects of invading Poland, prisoned journalist, Nordstream pipeline, ..., are these unimportant topics?
3
I like this opinionated gentleman, except that he really wears Jew on his sleeve.

@MnemonicCarrier Correct.

I love this channel! Deserves more attention.

Yeah, unfortunate name for a professor.

"The baltic sea is probably the most surveilled area in the world." Exactly, so how come we know so little about an event that was so well documented and investigated independently by Sweden, Denmark and Germany? How come Swedish and Danish investigations confirmed that it was sabotage, then decided to shut down and not provide any details. German investigators have been silent until these unsubstantiated accusations against Ukraine. UN Security Council refused to conduct an international investigation. USA refused to investigate saying its outside of their jurisdiction (as if they ever cared). Nothing about this signals genuine interest to find out (or disclose) who was really behind the sabotage.

I presume CIA were completely oblivious to the uprising attempt in Venezuela 2019 which senator Chis Murphy openly described as "we tried to construct a kind of coup" speaking to state official Elliot Abrams.
1
@patavinity1262 Would USA attempt a coup in Venezuela without CIA involved?

Interesting interview.

It seems to make sense to work rationally towards irrational goals. So if you struggle to find meaning in life it may be because you do not allow the left hemisphere to take orders from the right.

I don't agree that there was an overreach of scientific authorities during the Covid-19 pandemic. Corporate and political figures used the language of scientific authority pretended to be mediators of scientific consensus. They did this while blocking scientific authorities from being heard.

"If it was in fact America, how could you keep a thing like that from leaking?" Sure and it was leaked through Seymour Hersh, no?

@terencedonohoe9123 It's true that there wasn't much new in the interview, at least for those who consider information outside of legacy news. I got the sense that Putin strategically relied mainly on facts which are verifiable by western sources, such as to avoid dismissal. The documents he gave Tucker probably relates to some of the more controversial aspects of history he referred to.

@jackeagleeye3453 JFK, RFK werent assassinated? Censor of "misinformation" is free speech? In USA speech is allowed as long as it is not potent. The moment it unites people in opposition of the establishment, freedom meets resistance.

What Andrew seems to miss is that Trump is not an outlier in policy, he is just an outlier in transparency and not being in control of media. Hillary blamed her loss on Russian interference and asserted that Trump was an illegitimate president. Biden continued to build the wall Trump started. Democrats are trying to lock up their political opponents. Etc.
