  1. Wow, I didn't know Dawkins was such an apologist for the greatest scandal of the century. He comes off as helplessly naïve to the blatant corruption of scientific and regulatory institutions.

  2.  @tomholloway7164  I don't think this excuse holds. When facing uncertainty the last thing you'd want to do is increase uncertainty by experimenting with new treatments and strategies. There were proven principles and strategies in place based on dealing with other similar viruses, but these were disregarded and substituted by new radical approaches like population-wide mandated vaccination with modified RNA, lockdowns and masking. This was done in defiance of recommendations by many experts in relevant fields and without reliable data showing that it was preferable to proven strategies. Moreover, research and discussion about alternatives were actively suppressed. Suppression of data and discussion is also the last thing you'd want when facing uncertainty.

  3. Brilliant of Freddie to challenge Dawkings by examining globalism from an evolutionary perspective. A population (of nations) needs a healthy level of diversity to ensure resilience against changing conditions.

  4. I don't agree that there was an overreach of scientific authorities during the Covid-19 pandemic. Corporate and political figures used the language of scientific authority pretended to be mediators of scientific consensus. They did this while blocking scientific authorities from being heard.
