Perhaps because her examples were pretty ridiculous. Oilrig? Plumber? How does that make one more deserving of voting?

@shauna5838 Are women getting paid 50% for the same job and performance?

@randomyoutuber8227 Let's remove the monetary reason then. Sharing ownership of earnings is the dumbest idea.

@estherruth4692 How can you be 110% certain without having had sex?

I like Douglas' for his foresight and eloquence, but he seem to enjoy bickering a bit too much. A waste of his talent.

1. Why would a physically tough job make a person more deserving of voting? 2. If a physically tough job is required for voting, why allow men to vote? Surely most men (in britain) hold jobs that are not physically demanding. rather than people who hold a physically demanding job?

@neoglacius Accountable for what? The only thing that makes sense is to be accountable for one's vote, and this applies to everyone affected by the decisions of our representatives, including women.

@neoglacius Neither UK nor US have conscription, and as far as I understand retirement age is equal for men and women under the law. Etc. If "citizenship" is what justifies the right to vote, it seems wrongheaded to award voting rights based on gender rather than people's actual contributions. If a woman happen to be an excellent citizen, why should she be denied voting right? If a man is a poor citizen, why should he be allowed to vote?
