The thing about catastrophes is that they are opportunities to do shady things while people are looking elsewhere. This may be why government is not so focused on dealing with the actual crisis.

Inez is very clear-headed, not getting distracted from the substance Taibbi's work.
3
How dare you assume that the stabber is a man?!?!
3
For anyone following his channel it's very clear what Russel is doing: redirecting the energy of conspiracy-minded people towards real and demonstrable problems.
3
What is happening to Jessica.
3
Amazing how Liz interrupts Biahna to "discuss the substance" then goes on to ignore the facts Briahna just mentioned and instead speculate naively about what might have motivated companies to raise prices. Sorry Liz, that's not what substance means.
3
Sabrina always has level-headed comments.
3
Funny how he pretends to have a discussion while actually just communicating decisions he and his buddies already made.

Milei is right that punishing success removes the incentives for capitalists to satisfy the needs of the market. However, taxation or regulation isn't necessarily punishing success, it may merely reduce the magnitude of the reward. Moreover, there is the problem of monopoly, where capitalists focus on sabotaging their competitors rather than to offer more attractive products at lower price. The free market alone does not necessarily provide the best outcome. The state can be used to set up the rules of the game such as to promote competition and productive outcome in the market.

Less algorithmic feed. More channel subscription. Conscious selection of sources is so much better than feeding our impulses. Makes it easier to plan the diet.

So now they're going after his marriage. Classy!
2
Unusual to have Briahna argue for special treatment of a person of high status while Robby comes off as egalitarian.
2
Hats off to The Hill for showing real disagreement! This is what a healthy dose of diversity of opinion looks like.
2
How are "fact checking organization" financed? What makes them more reliable than any other organization? Please take these questions seriously, do honest research and then come back with an answer "The Hill".
2
"Kids safety bill" With that title, they must be trying to pass something really bad.
2
Colbolt mines in Kongo now hiring.
2
Cool, I'll wait until there's data.
2
@darrekworkman5595 According to Seymore, it was US initiative but Norway helped with planning and execution.
2
"...that they go over how the website runs to make sure it does not favor false information over true information." In other words: CENSORSHIP! The state wants to filter X's content based on what it regards true or false. The reason Elon bought Twitter in the first place was to prevent this exact thing, so obviously he isn't going to allow that, and he's f-ing right.
2
Great discussion in the end. Ended too soon.
2
The problem is that they deceived the public, not that they tacitly admitted it.
2
What about the previous health overlord: The real Anthony Fauci ?
2
Okay, nice to alleviate the symptom, but what is Biden doing about the problem? Let me guess: nothing, because it would mean he can't buy any more voters.
2
You're severely misrepresenting RFK's position. He will not be the judge of whether a specific vaccine is safe or effective. He will remove the exceptions of pharmaceutical companies from liability for vaccine side effects. He will increase the rigor of safety testing of vaccines before release to market. He will end the revolving doors between pharmaceutical companies and regulatory agencies. If you think these interventions are "dangerous" you are insane.
2
@Richard01234 It is fair to demand more of an ally you generously support than a nation that is already a recognized adversary. USA has a very special relation with Israel, providing more security and aid than to any other nation. PRC on the other hand was not recognized by USA until 30 years after its founding and is currently sanctioned.
2
Yeah, regulation of chatbot output really seems like a losing battle. Even if it worked, that would also be an effective way to implement politically motivated censor or bias, which may be even more harmful.
2
Thank god for Turkey. Who the fck do our representatives think they are to tie our country to a military alliance without a proper referendum? I had higher thoughts of our democracy. I guess they learned to not ask after we said no to the Euro.
2
Ameshia Cross embodies much of what I feel is wrong about journalism, but as long she is challenged by someone like Amber Athey I think Ameshia provides value by provoking much needed discussion. Many share Ameshia's perspective so it is important to challenge it in a respectful way.
2
Wow, Briahna's Star Trek game took me off guard.
2
Why are they mad at Biden? He's not in control.
1
Can we stop conflating humanitarian aid with sending weapons and ammunition. Proxy warfare is not "aid".
1
@PerpetuallyEthereal Sure, and until then, these are merely allegations.
1
People who really want to learn how to make a bomb will find out anyway. It's not that complicated, given that you learn a little bit of chemistry. At best this prevents children/teens from trying to make a bomb for the thrill.
1
@fiendz9116 Are you sure all her teeth are original?
1
Jessica Burbank believes RFK Jr ate dog meat. She believes this because... yeah.
1
@christianwestling2019 Sure.
1
@jamesragsdale8202 Diversity of opinion is immature?
1
@jamesragsdale8202 Sure, it got emotional, but that's ok.
1
All that is needed is party loyalty, apparently.
1
It's worse than that. Robert Epstein published irrefutable evidence that Google shifted votes towards democrats by sending go-vote reminders exclusively to democrats in swing-states leading up to the election. Moreover, we now know democrats payed to have the story about Russian election interference manufactured.
1
@@Ubermensch-yy7hf A short period of deflation wouldn't hurt. Not good for finance in the long run though.
1
I think the Satanic temple are right. Their main point is that we must either keep religion out of public space, or give all religions equal access to it, which leads to the dilemma of defining "religion". Their "trolling" is meant to spark debate regarding special privileges that Christians have (or claim) in certain states, in violation of the first amendment. Seems like a legitimate cause.
1
Hopefully these journalists go independent.
1
All this nonsense seems like Democrats actively baiting conservatives to get distracted from the important issues, like corruption, the economy and war. What a shtshow.
1
Not false, but dangerous? When truth is dangerous, something ain't right.
1
Air is being used to spread misinformation. Ventilation and air conditioning companies must be held fully responsible for how air is used.
1
I hear you, but on the other hand Amber did a good job challenging Ameshia on her bs. It can be good to have someone on who represent perspectives we disagree with, as long as they are also challenged.
1
This wouldn't be controversial if AID meant what it used to: food, medicine, blankets, etc. Unfortunately the term has been hijacked by warhawks for provision of weapons, ammunition and intelligence.
1
These events make more sense if you consider that Ursula van den Laien, on behalf of WEF, has elevated "the problem of misinformation" to top priority in EU. National legislation is changed across Europe to pave way for a system for censor and speech control.
1
I think this is just theatre to direct public attention towards the sky without asking them explicitly to look for enemy aircraft.
