  1. I think the Satanic temple are right. Their main point is that we must either keep religion out of public space, or give all religions equal access to it, which leads to the dilemma of defining "religion". Their "trolling" is meant to spark debate regarding special privileges that Christians have (or claim) in certain states, in violation of the first amendment. Seems like a legitimate cause.
