  1. In absolute terms, yes. Relative to GDP, EU sends comparable to US and many members have sent more. Consider also that the war is by many seen as a consequence of NATO expansion which was driven predominantly by US. I don't think it fair of US to dump costs on the locals when their geopolitical projects abroad backfire.
