  1. This was great except the repeated emphasis on white guilt. I'm all for recognizing the crimes of our ancestors and making sure we do better, but I don't believe in inheritance of guilt.

  2. The way I see it, religion, ideology and economics are not drivers but vehicles to mobilize people and justify actions on behalf of power interests. Viewing history through this lens seems to provide a lot of order in the analysis.
