  1. Madeleine defines democratic institutions as being accountable to the people. How accountable is the federal reserve, world trade organization, world bank, international monetary fund, world economic forum, world health organization, etc.? By her own definition these are not democratic institutions, yet she faults people for not trusting them.

The reason the gold standard was abandoned was because the world was democratized, and the capitalists could no longer simply force the work force to bail them out of depression through dumping wages. If we are going back to anything like the gold standard, we are left with two alternatives, one being to abandon democracy, the other being a deflation driven downward spiral.

  4. Madeleine acknowledges that the Iraq war was based on false information. Ok. Good. Then she blames this on social media?!?!?! So it wasn't politicians and news papers who claimed Saddam hide WMDs in Iraq, it was the social media? She's such a liar.
