People used to fight for their family, then families joined into tribes, then tribes joined and people fought for their region, regions joined under nations, nations joined under international unions, which joined or expanded into global unions... Why is nationality so important to you? It's just an abstract concept designed to create a sense of beloning. What is so wrong about extending that belonging to a global level?
