  1. Have you considered making an independent experiment to really find out? Try crossing the Atlantic with a mechanical clock. Why is the time of dawn and dusk affected so severely by where you are in the world if earth is flat? Have you tried a long exposure photograph of the night sky, and identified the Pole star? Why does the position of the Pole star shift depending on where on the globe you are? These phenomena would be rather elaborate and require more assumptions to explain if earth was flat, but are rather straight forward to explain given earth is round.
