I've talked to three different Greeks at my university (Sweden). All three fucking hate this guy. I've tried to understand where they're coming from, but they mainly offer emotional arguments. "He's a joke!" "He's a clown!" "He's a traitor!" Sounds like the work of a propaganda machine.

No, the point is to deter people from making classified information available to the public. Governments want to make it very clear that they really cherish their self-proclaimed right to operate in the dark whenever convenient.

@akbk2505 Are you sure? This LCA suggests Nuclear pretty much breaks even with wind and has smaller co2-eq footprint than both solar and hydro. Seems pretty good to me. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life-cycle_greenhouse_gas_emissions_of_energy_sources#/media/File%3ACO2_Emissions_from_Electricity_Production_IPCC.png

It's to the point I guess.

Well, they're PhD students, meaning they get paid, and two of them are already Swedish citizens. But yeah, the fact that they are in this level of education probably influences their opinions. Also, in Sweden higher education is open for any Swedish citizen who meet the admission standards through state funded grants and interest free loans. Many other countries in EU have similar system. So no, education is not a privilege of the few in the entire western world.

No need for washing nuclear. It's pretty damn clean.

@akbk2505 Oh, I notice now you said "ecological" footprint. How do you define this?

Who's the guy on the masks? Oh. Julian. Of course.

@akbk2505 Clean in the sense that it does not intrinsically generate CO2 and relatively few are harmed by it.
