  1. Well we can create unbrella concepts that enable fairly accurate predictions for practical use, but this doesn't mean we understand what's really going on and why. Eg. we understand that two positively charged particles repell eachother with a force which magnitude is relative to the distance in between, but we don't really understand why they repell eachother and why the scaling of the force is as it is.
