  1. The argument against assault rifles is that they are more effective at killing people, so if a deranged individual has access to an assault rifle, more people are likely to be killed. The reason most gun violence is committed using hand guns is because assault rifles are less common.

This conversation would be so much easier if they'd acknowledged that core policies of RFK Jr hurt friends of the democratic party: big pharma, big agriculture, military industrial complex, intelligence community, etc. RFK Jr is also principally against propaganda, censorship, and weaponizing government institutions against political opponents, which the democratic party has grown very fond of.
