  4. Eratosthenes did not prove earth is round, he estimated its circumference assuming it is spherical. The observation that the sun is directly above one city while at an angle for another is as consistent with a flat earth model as with a round one. I'm not denying earth is round, I'm just pointing out that this particular argument provides zero support for it. She should know better.

I find it contradictory that first he says that our world is heading towards having one communication network, one language, one economy, one fasion, one music style etc. and then he goes on to say we're heading towards a multicultural society. Did he mean that a multicultural tolerant society is necessary to achive a monocultural one? That our cultures must first learn to exist side by side, before they are willing to compromise and merge into one?
