  1. While you can interpret the Bible as a message of humility, many people treat the Bible as a source of certainty and confidence. A common criticism of atheism is the lack of a frame of reference which is supposed to lead to decay of moral principles.

  2.  @MrZachtheKingsfan  I agree. I criticised his argument that the Bible keeps us humble, because the effect seems to mostly be the opposite. It offers an artificial sense of certainly which discourages us from reflection and discussion.
