I know a number of Chinese and Japanese women married to American men. None of this dowry nonsense.

@blume0121 My Japanese wife won a beauty pageant in her early twenties. She is a damned fine looking woman. Extremely smart too.

@JohnSmith-bg4hu A friend of mine is European. He was in Shanghai and met his Chinese wife there. She was attending university in France. Her studies were in English. So they communicate using their second languages. They now have a cute one year old daughter. They often fly to visit her parents in China and his in Europe.

@blume0121 One of my wife’s Japanese friends had a German grandmother. Her eyes were a very light brown. She married a Canadian. Congrats on the marriage. I call the Japanese, the Asiatic Germans.
