  4. It's a proxy war, after all. Kinda weird how the world changes. Back when I was young, Iran and Iraq fought a proxy war between the USA and the USSR, now Ukraine and Russia fight one between USA and Iran...

  5. That's one way to put it. Personally I'd have said, India, and even more so China, is milking Russia now that it can't escape. They're the only relevant nations still conducting trade with Russia, and they know it. Russia is paying through the nose for anything they need and China is handing it out at a very low and slow pace, keeping Russia just tethering on the brink of collapse for as long as it can, because the last thing China would want is Russia to win this war, all they really want is to hoover up that cheap gas and oil that Russia pretty much has to sell at the price China dictates. And that will only work as long as Russia has no choice. So China will keep Russia at the point of no alternative for as long as it can.
