Well, not really. They just have a crippling design flaw. Basically, due to how their autoloader works, the crew is literally sitting on the ordnance. That speeds up loading times, but it also means that if the tank gets hit and the damage reaches those shells, they go up in a very impressive explosion that ruptures the weakest link on the tank. Which happens to be the connection between hull and turret. And since there's quite a bit of expanding gas that needs an outlet, and there happens to be one at the bottom of the turret, the turret takes off like a rocket.

It's a bird. It's a plane. It's a tank turret.

Well, that's more than what we get from Russia where all we get is stock footage of planes taking off, firing at clouds and landing.

@smgdfcmfah Well, quality... Russia's main problem is, and has always been, that while they can solve the mechanical problems (ok, they could... technically...), what remains unresolved is that their computer industry is practically nonexistent. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, they lost the Baltic states and their access to East Europe where pretty much all their former high tech came from. Russian tanks, as well as all (expendable) Russian weapons suffer from is a lack of sophisticated electronics equipment. They're basically stuck in the Soviet era technology, and I don't need to tell you what it means if your weapon (and especially targeting and defense) systems are almost half a century old.

It's probably one of the easiest victories in a war America ever had. Don't even have to participate and spank Russia's sore behind.

@Keith2XS I don't. Caveat emptor, always try before you buy.
