  1. After WW2, Germany had some of the best, brightest and pro-Germany politicians the country ever had, before or after. Most of them spent a nontrivial time in some KZ. Maybe that has something to do with it.

  2. I kinda doubt that would help much in Russia. They'd just print one today that gets issued 5 months in the future if they need something like this. It's not like Russian newspapers had anything to do with news...
