There's something at least as bothersome with Titanic: How the heck does some Irish hillbilly who's never seen the sea from close know so damn exactly where to be on a sinking vessel and how to survive the sinking of a craft that huge which is allegedly unsinkable? No matter what happens, he knows EXACTLY what to do (and the movie immediately shows with the unfortunates who do something else what would have happened if they didn't follow his guidelines). A friend of mine called Titanic "the longest educational film on how to behave on a sinking liner, with a little bit of a romance plot peppered on top of it." I can't help but consider his summary of the movie quite fitting.
