  1. You can even tell that the soldiers themselves don't give a toss. They're not marching. They're strolling past with that "how long does that charade have to take?" look on their faces. They're walking like they're heading for the mess hall and grab some grub! And I'm absolutely certain it's not because they don't know how. I mean, c'mon. Anyone who ever spent a day in a military knows that your first few weeks, if not months, you go EVERYWHERE in lockstep. Your DI would rip you a new one up to the neck if you ambled along like they do here. They knew what they were doing. This was on purpose. This is an army telling its boss "Dude, we're putting our life on the line for this country. We don't deserve to be humiliated by you by making us your toy soldiers!"

  2. If that would help... Planes are notoriously oversold. Buying an extra seat is only going to line the airline's pockets, because they'd simply ignore that this person "has" two seats. They simply treat it as if the second person didn't show and stuff you still in the seat next to him, despite him actually BEING two people...

  3. In the meantime you don't really need to be overweight anymore to not fit in the damn seats. I wonder if it's permissible to travel in an animal transport box. You probably have more room that way.
