  1. That's the problem with democracy; democracy assumes an intelligent & well-informed electorate. Remember, when this democratic republic was first formed, the franchise, ie, who was allowed to vote, was a very small percentage of the populace: White property-owning males over 21. Yes there was a property qualification, you had to own a estate of a certain minimum size that varied from state to state. Now, as the video above amply attests, you can be brain dead & still vote. Heck, they even let trump vote!
