I'm a stock market guy; I tend to see things in cycles, a constant rising and falling of trends.
Bull Markets last until they die. For example, we had a bull that lasted from the late 70s until 1980 or so; it was an oil bull; oil companies led it. Then we had a bear market that demolished the oil companies, The next bull market arrived in 1982 and I loaded up on oil stocks.
I was young; I didn't know that once a bull market dies, the sector that led it DOES NOT lead the next bull... oil languished; techs led the new bull.
Same here; the trump bull is DEAD. I foresee a massive trump bear that washes all the carnival barkers and other circus creatures out of office, probably for all time. There will probably be false starts (like the oils in 1982), and trump islands in the South, another nostalgic Lost Cause, but on the national scene, I see that trumpy trend, fueled by a growing national repugnance as Americans die in the hundreds of thousands due to monumental incompetence, as DEAD.
The next right-leaning opposition party to the Democrats will not resemble this curdled vision of Reaganism that wouldn't have been recognized by the Gipper himself, in his most famous quote from his best role, in Kings Row: "Where's the rest of me?!"
