Patrick- The saddest day in my life as a citizen is the day they elected trump POTUS. I thought: the morons have elected their king.
Every day since then, whenever Cadet Bone Spurs opens that orange mouth of his & starts haphazardly unleashing yet another word salad using that sad 5th grade vocabulary: full of pomp, aggression & need, in inane repetitive phrases, connected by ellipses and little else, that ends up leading nowhere intelligible. I say, sometimes out loud:
"What a moron!"
So, I've said this now several thousand times through these seemingly endless years... or maybe it only feels this way.
November is getting closer. Please, Democrats, for the sake of the life of our Republic and possibly our planet as well, remove this narcissistic bloviator's small fingers from the wheel of our ship of state.
The life you save may be your own.

Listen John, it's all very well to demonize landlords, but the truth is, if landlords don't get rent money, they can't pay their real estate taxes and their buildings can be taken away from them by the state or city for non-payment of those taxes (leaving out for one moment the money landlords also need to pay their employees, & pay for electricity, heating fuel and the mortgage payments on their buildings).
I'll be honest with you; I'm the president of a very small co-op: 12 apartments. The owners have, for the most part, moved on with their lives, moving to other cities and even other countries, often renting out their apt., as is their right. And now I'm hearing that their tenants have, to some degree fled, or they're not renewing their leases, and frankly I'm worried; wondering whether they'll be able to pay their maintenance and then what am I supposed to do about nonpayment of maintenance? Yes; I'm supposed to go to court and take that apt. and sell it... and what about the city? PEOPLE AREN'T PAYING THEIR TAXES EITHER! Which means yes; defund the cops... and the firemen too! Defund garbage collections, schools...
Long story short, this is a 100 year tsunami rushing towards us at 500 miles an hour (that's like, I don't know, 800 kilometres an hour or, LORD knows: many many many versts every hour) and we need Titanically large FDR thinking here, but instead we have someone who's less thoughtful than a wooden ash tray at the helm of our foundering ship of state: glug, glug, glug...
