This is very complex stuff... for example, I have IBS, etc., and thought I'd try some probiotic foods, like olives and sauerkraut and some good fats like avocado. Simple, right? Except they all gave me vicious migraines because they're all high in tyramine, which has powerful BP effects like vasoconstriction and rebound vasodilation, plus I was eating turmeric (allegedly good for osteoarthritis) for the curcumin (& too, because it tasted good)... but curcumin also acts like an MAOI, and MAO brings levels of tyramine down... except, of course, when you inhibit it, which is what curcumin does... complex, right?
