  22. The problem with Northern Ireland is interesting, but it is a very local isolated issue. If the Troubles didn't happen, it would have no effect to other historical events. So I wouldn't include it in a world history curriculum because of it insignificance.

  31. I'm Dutch and although there are many things wrong with Donald Trump, he has a point when it comes to NATO and that other countries outside the US should increase their military budget. The most favorite department to cut spending for both left and right wing politicians in the Netherlands is the Department of Defense. For leftists for pacifist reasons, for conservatives because they don't like spending. The consequence is that our military is not good enough and we are flying around in old F16's. And Donald Trump is not the only American politician who thinks about it this way. Obama also thought other countries should do more for NATO, although he expressed it much more subtle than Trump of course.   37. Fun fact: In 2001/2002 we in the Netherlands had a politician called Pim Fortuyn who looked a lot like Donald Trump. It was a populist who was anti-immigration, just like Trump. He insulted minorities and had a bad temper, just like Trump. But guess what ... he was also against the JSF. ;-) (side note: he was brutally assassinated just before the elections he was probably about to win ... :-( )
