  1. I'm Dutch and although there are many things wrong with Donald Trump, he has a point when it comes to NATO and that other countries outside the US should increase their military budget. The most favorite department to cut spending for both left and right wing politicians in the Netherlands is the Department of Defense. For leftists for pacifist reasons, for conservatives because they don't like spending. The consequence is that our military is not good enough and we are flying around in old F16's. And Donald Trump is not the only American politician who thinks about it this way. Obama also thought other countries should do more for NATO, although he expressed it much more subtle than Trump of course.
