People don't seem to get the difference between "influential leader" and "good leader" in the comments below.

BerfitsV2 Another US president would have acted in a similar way as JFK in the 60's. Of course, there are some unique features of JFK, but I think Fidel Castro is a better choice than JFK ... without Castro there wouldn't be a Bay of Pigs invasion and Cuban MIssile Crisis in the first place.

***** Then I would pick Vaclav Havel or Lech Walesa.

Jesus Christ Because Hitler was way more influential. Without Hitler, the Cold War might never have triggered. Without Hitler, the UN might not even exist. Without Hitler, the US might not have worked on the atomic bomb (they dropped it eventually on Japan, but the reason they started working on the atomic bomb was because the US was scared Hitler might have had the bomb first). I can go on with this forever if I want to. Hitler changed the previous century drastically. Tojo ... well ... the Japanese might have influenced the Communist Revolution in China indirectly, I don't know that much about the Chinese Civil War actually. But maybe the communists would have won in China anyway. The Japanese conquests also triggered liberation movements in Indonesia (Sukarno), Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh). etc ... but I think those liberation movements would have triggered anyway. Roosevelt is not very influential because he is the leader of a democracy. Democratic leaders are (thank God!) pretty weak. FDR has to work together with a lot of other institutions and politicians to reach his goals, which makes his direct influence on the world as a person very small. It's this distribution of power that makes democracies safe to live in. Totalitarian dictators like Hitler and Stalin on the other hand can change the world by snapping their fingers, which is the whole reason they are evil.

US Office was just an average sitcom without a laughtrack and with different way of filming. The situations are funny but absurd and unrecognizable for someone who works in an office. Michael Scott just feels like a generic funny guy. A talented funny guy, but he doesn't feel like a manager. UK Office was revolutionary on mainstream TV, a satirical mockumentary. The situations are VERY recognizable. David Brent feels like a real manager.

that's the point
