"Can I not just simply be curious and ask a question on neutral grounds without my character's background being analyzed?" Its has nothing to do with your character, Im sure you are a nice person. Frankly confusing these concepts is really leaving me at a loss because this is middle school stuff. You arent responsible for the school you went to as a kid so its not a reflection of you. "I took my ego out of the equation." If that were true you wouldnt care about the assumptions Im making about your lack of a decent education. Im all for skepticism thats a good thing. However we have to agree on the fundamentals like math and science. Those two are merely tools for finding the truth.

  11. Thats actually a reasonable explanation for a lot of this stuff. Hes just being nice and playing along while being genuinely curious. He hs to get the guest to relax and tell their story that cant happen without playing along on some level. If Joe was combative and aggressive with the guests, they wouldnt show up. Just like most people would not say the things they say in the comments to these people's faces. They would be more polite about in the least. The real problem is that regular people arent equipped to know whether these people are charlatans or not. Thats why these podcasts are actually bad for people as a whole which is the complete opposite of what I thought in the early years of podcasting.

  12.  @nath9233  I agree TH is not a dumb person at all. He just doesnt have anyone around him keeping him in check and grounded to reality. His success has actually shielded him from the realities that most take for granted.

It would be much easier to explain where he was right, which was about nothing. He doesnt even agree with basic math, so everything he says is nonsense. "The only ppl that should be angry are those ppl that majored in subjects supporting Einstein and Newton's works only to now find is only half truth or a fraction of an absolute truth." Thats how science works, its always evolving. The more information we get the more accurate the theory becomes over time. No real scientist would be angered by that they would be flattered that someone took the work seriously.
