@mosesmoua2012 We are in this mess because the middle class is all but gone. These days people are either flush with cash or broke, theres no in between.

I cut grass as a side job in my neighborhood and we dont use blowers because they are so loud and annoying. We use brooms and we do a beautiful job, you dont need those darn blowers.

Most neighborhoods dont have HOAs, also you dont have to pay taxes on your house if you live in an area with Homestead Exemption.

@salemend6891 "Agreed, but that depends heavily on your location does it not" Of course it does, real estate is all about location, location, location. "Regardless of what I can avoid. I'm not going to overpay for a property that was over 50% cheaper a few years ago. Thats an EXTREME example and not representative of the entire real estate market, especially in small towns. Im not saying its in good shape but there are deals to be had even today.

@NoDaysOff-oz2zl Most people learn how to do the repairs themselves because of that. DIY is a great way to avoid labor costs and you also learn a valuable skill. Its a win/win.

@gregorymontanez5882 Thats true as of the past few years, I do pay a few hundred dollars. I used to be totally exempt but the parameters were changed a while back.
