  1. +TheSpazModic Some people did actually have insurance that wasn't honored by the company. It was a very small minority and wasn't with any company I would've dealt with. I had flood ins. and had no problem rebuilding and neither did every other responsible person. If you can't afford quality, reputable flood and homeowners' ins. on your house, then you can't afford the house, sorry.

  2. Jason Lynch Ignorance is never an excuse.  Try pleading ignorance to the IRS and see what they say.  Once again if you can't afford to get the proper insurance, then you can't afford the house.
